At standing eye level the print reads as a shaft dropping straight through the floorboards, with a skeleton, a witch or a spider climbing out of it. The rug itself is completely flat. Guests stop at the edge, look twice, then step across. That pause is the whole point of this rug.

• Non-slip backing — textured to grip. On slick hardwood or tile we still recommend a rug pad underneath (see the safety note below).
• Machine washable — cold, gentle cycle, air dry.

Before you buy

• The illusion needs eye level. It reads as depth when you are standing and looking across it. Photographed from directly overhead it flattens back into a pattern — that is how forced perspective works, not a defect.
• It ships rolled. Fold lines from packing are normal. Lay it flat and they settle out over a day or two.
• Indoor rug. It carries no weather rating, so keep it off open porches and out of the rain.
• Safety. A convincing floor illusion can make anyone hesitate mid-step. We would not put it in a walkway used by someone unsteady on their feet, anyone prone to dizziness or vertigo, or a toddler still learning to walk. Choose a spot where a pause is harmless, and add a rug pad on slick floors.
